- Modern couple or not, it is a horrible mistake to propose without a ring. Even if a girl isn’t that much into jewelry or flashy diamonds, this is the one piece of jewelry she will be expecting. If you are empty handed, she will feel a little cheated. Be sure you are prepared, this means going out to buy a ring before you pop the question.
- Keep it quiet, try not to spill to your friends and family about your plans to propose. Whether they mean to or not, it will probably get back to the bride, and ruin the surprise before you even get the chance to do it your way.
- Try not to propose in front of a crowd of people. It may seem like a romantic gesture, but even if you’re one hundred percent sure she will say yes, an audience is always of putting for the most relaxed people. This is an intimate moment just for you two, try to keep it that way.
- Don’t rush! You may be excited and have the ring, but plan the right moment, you only get to do it once!
